Hello!

I majored in Middle Grades Education at Valdosta State University, but since then, I have sought out creative roles for employment. After working in communications and hospitality at an assisted living facility, I started The Digital Shore, and subsequently Above The Line, with my brother. I have also personally been pursuing screenwriting for about ten years.

I have always had a passion for writing and have been scribbling short stories and poems on various scraps of paper since elementary school. Somehow I still managed to convince myself to strive for a “real” degree once I arrived at college. I chose the practical road of education but lived for the days when I could escape to write stories or help my brother with all of his various film projects. Needless to say, it wasn’t until after college that I realized my passions lived outside of the world of education. This is where the start of our company and my pursuit of screenwriting began.

At The Digital Shore, I help create and write all blog content as well as our array of printed materials. I communicate with our clients, create graphics for them, and manage all social media accounts. My role at Above The Line (ATL) was similar as the person who writes movie reviews and different blog posts. I also managed the social media accounts for ATL and co-hosted our various podcasts.

I have balanced all of these responsibilities with my personal creative work. I have written several full-length screenplays, and my most recent completed work, Dear Wilson, ranked as a quarter-finalist in the Shore Scripts screenwriting competition. The judges at WeScreenplay also recently gave that script a recommendation in moving forward.

For me, it always comes back to storytelling. This is the thread through our business as well as my creative pursuits. I have a passion for creating content, and creating and writing stories is the pinnacle for me.
